Getting your school live on Mazhali takes less than 30 minutes. This guide walks you through every step — from registration to your first parent invitation.
What “setting up” covers
By the end of this guide your school will have:
- An admin account linked to your school
- At least one class created
- Teachers invited and assigned
- Children added to classes
- Parents invited to their children’s profiles
Work through the steps in order — the sequence matters.
Step 1: Register your school
Visit mazhali.com and click Start for Free.
Fill in:
- School name — the name your teachers and parents will see
- Your name
- Your email address
- Password
Submit the form. Your admin account is created and linked to your school instantly. No credit card required.
Step 2: Create your classes
Every child and teacher belongs to a class, so create these first.
- Open Admin Dashboard → Classes
- Click + New Class
- Give the class a name — for example Sunflowers, Butterflies, or Nursery A
- Save
Repeat for each class in your school. You can create as many classes as your plan allows.
Step 3: Invite your teachers
- Open Admin Dashboard → Staff → Invite Staff
- Enter the teacher’s email address
- Select their role: Teacher or Admin
- Click Send
The teacher receives an email with a link to accept the invitation and create their Mazhali account (or log in if they already have one). After they accept, they appear in your Staff list.
Next, assign them to a class:
- Classes → [Class Name] → Teachers → + Add Teacher → select the staff member
Step 4: Add children
- Open Admin Dashboard → Classes → [Class Name] → Children
- Click + Add Child
- Enter the child’s name and optional date of birth
- Save
Repeat for every child in that class. You can move children between classes later if needed.
Step 5: Invite parents
Once a child is in the system you can invite their guardians.
- Open the child’s profile
- Click Invite Guardian
- Enter the parent’s email address
- Click Send
The parent receives an email, creates a Mazhali account (or logs in), and is immediately linked to the child. One child can have multiple guardians — repeat for each one.
Your school is live
Once parents accept their invitations:
- Teachers can mark daily attendance
- Teachers can post feed updates and reports for their classes
- Parents can view their child’s attendance, reports, and school announcements in the app
Pro tip: follow this order
Classes → Staff → Children → Parents
Setting up in this sequence means you never have to reassign or re-link anything. Skipping ahead — for example adding children before classes exist — means extra work later.
